The aim of the Department of Economics is to provide students with theoretical knowledge and the appropriate tools for analysis and understanding of economic problems, on the level of both the individual and the single firm, and on the level of the national economy, with its international links. The Department allows students to include a secondary specialty in specific fields.
Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a grade point average of at least 80 for the research/non-research program
For a specialization in Finance – a grade point average of at least 78 for holders of Economics-Accounting degrees or at least 80 for Economics graduates
For the joint programs (research / Behavioral Economics) with the Technion Institute – a grade point average of at least 85, in addition to meeting the admission requirements of both institutions.
Studies are in a thesis track or a non-thesis track, with an option of specializing in Finance. In addition, there is a joint study track with the Technion, that makes it possible to specialize in Behavioral Economics.
Employment options after graduation: Professional work in the private and public sectors, continuation of studies for a doctoral degree in Economics or Business Administration.
