Master’s degree in Political Science
The Master’s degree studies focus on one of the subjects of specialization in political science: Public Administration and Public Policy, International Relations, Comparative Politics and Political Thought.
The School of Political Science has a wide variety of Master’s degree programs, including one-year non-thesis programs, structured programs that provide a profession, and research programs in which emphasis is placed on the students’ independent work with the assistance of thesis advisors, and training for further research and practical activity. Studies in the program are experiential and enriched with study tours and other activities. The School of Political Science also grants research students scholarships according to its regulations.
Graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in political science or other related field – with a grade point average 82 for a thesis track and meeting additional conditions in accordance with the department’s requirements. For the non-research track – a grade point average in accordance with the department’s requirements.
For Bachelor’s degree graduates who have not studied political science or any other related field – it is required to complete the supplementary studies in accordance with the department’s requirements.

There are three departments in the School of Political Science, offering a wide range of programs: The Department of Government and Political Thought, the Department of International Relations, and the Department of Public Administration and Policy.
There are also two international programs conducted in English in the School of Political Science: The Program of Diplomacy Studies and the Program of National Security Studies
There are also one-year Master’s degree programs in political science, including: Democracy Studies, Politics of the Middle East, Administration and entrepreneurship in local government, Executive Program in Public Administration and Policy, Program for Negotiation and Decision Making, The program for Defense studies and Maritime Strategy

Study tracks for a Master’s degree in one of the Political Science departments, which offer a choice of courses and are taught in two tracks: Track A – with a final research paper (thesis), Track B – with a final project or a final exam (non-research). Employment options after graduation: The Master’s degree studies sharpen the knowledge in one of the three Political Science disciplines: International Relations, Public administration, and Government and Political Thought. Master’s degree students engage in research and are exposed to additional fields of knowledge, which enable them to establish contacts with various bodies involved in the field. As a result, a degree in political science can create opportunities to become Members of Knesset, diplomats, politicians, mayors and local council heads, Ministry of Defense employees, Ministry of Foreign Affairs employees, journalists, members of the media, educators, and researchers. In addition, the degree opens doors to international organizations whose work includes analyzing political systems. Some of the study programs include job placements at the end of studies or grant a specialization certificate that enables employment in the field of study.
