Occupational therapy is one of the health-care professions. Professional activities of the occupational therapist include: diagnosis, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, education, counseling, prevention and research. The Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy is an academic degree in the subject, and the studies for this degree are a continuation of the Bachelor’s degree studies.

The Master’s degree studies in the Department of Occupational Therapy take place on Wednesdays. They include two tracks:  A thesis track and a non-thesis track

The Master’s degree program in Occupational Therapy is based on development and self-learning with the aims of (1) developing and deepening the field of knowledge of occupational therapy through basic and applied research in general, and in particular in diagnosis, evaluation, and innovative methods of treatment and rehabilitation through occupational therapy;  (2) encouraging the development and application of innovative concepts for the treatment of motor, cognitive and other limitations; (3) training young and skilled manpower in the forefront of knowledge, for management and leadership in the profession, and in the health-care, education and welfare systems; (4) training a reserve of young people for research, teaching and clinical instruction positions in academic frameworks.
