Master’s degree in Art History
The history of art is a broad academic field that spans across centuries and continents alike. The Department of Art History prepares students for a historical understanding of Western culture throughout the ages, and Islamic culture. Art History is taught in the Department through in-depth analysis of paintings, sculptures, and architecture. In the context of their studies, students examine the link between historical and cultural events and works of art during the different ages, and they acquire tools to develop their visual perception and habits of critical thinking.
The Department is especially proud of the high quality of its teaching, the warm and individual attention given to its students, and the close and direct relations between lecturers and students.
