Master’s degree in Arabic Language and Literature
The studies deepen and enrich the students’ knowledge of Arabic linguistics and literature. The studies aim to assist the students in familiarizing with research related to these fields, in understanding their methods, and to provide them with professional skills, including independent scientific paper writing. The studies will focus on Arabic literature, Arabic language and Islamic culture.
Graduate of a Bachelor’s degree in Arabic language and/or literature or a related field (for the supplementary program), with a grade point average of 80 or higher
Passing the entrance exam
Department requirements specified on the department’s website
Track A: Includes writing a final research paper (thesis).
Track B: Includes a final exam after two years of study, without writing a final research paper.
Employment options after graduation: Teaching in schools (for graduates with a teaching certificate) and in academia, continuing in a research program in literature or in linguistics. Employment in translation, creative writing, literary review.
