Master’s degree in Counseling and Human Development
The Department of Counseling and Human Development offers a number of advanced study programs:
In the Educational Counseling program – students are trained for educational counseling in external settings. Graduates of this program work as educational counselors in schools and in private educational institutions, such as in learning disabilities centers, organizations.
In the Creative Art Therapies program – Bibliotherapy –– professionals are trained to provide therapy through literature. Graduates of this program work in the framework of both the Ministry of Education (in schools) and the Ministry of Health, in mental health-care settings, in nursing homes, etc.
The Education and Human Development program – enables the students to understand human emotional, intellectual and behavioral development from birth to adulthood. Graduates of this program expand the research in this field and provide professional assistance for those working in early childhood education and in other community frameworks.
The Multidisciplinary Program in Early Childhood Education and Development – provides broad and up-to-date basic knowledge on topics related to early childhood development and education, from birth to the age of 8.
Group Facilitation program – professionals are trained to guide task groups, counseling groups and therapy groups, in a wide range of topics: personal and interpersonal development, emotional development of children and adolescents, guidance of parents and groups of teachers. The program trains experts capable of combining practice and research.
We offer these unique programs through senior faculty and research that is advanced in theoretical and practical aspects.
Graduates with a Bachelor’s degree, – with a grade point average of 80-85, in accordance with the various programs.
