Undergraduate Degree in Hebrew and Comparative Literature

The Department of Hebrew and Comparative Literature offers studies in both Hebrew and world literature. The comparative framework introduces the student to different cultural trends, theories and genres in the history of literature, and emphasizes the affinities between literary phenomena in a variety of cultural contexts.
In addition to acquiring knowledge of literary works, students will develop interpretative, analytical and critical skills and enhance their writing competence..

- Students are accepted with a weighted grade of 500 or based on special admission conditions of the Faculty of Humanities
- Departmental requirements—for graduates of non-Hebrew schools: YAEL Hebrew Proficiency score of 120. Candidates with a grade of 110-119 in the Hebrew Proficiency (YAEL) test will be admitted conditionally.
- Double major program

Employment upon graduation: Teaching (for certified teachers), publishing houses, editing, literary criticism.
